Benchmarks update

Here are some benchmarks as of 29 February 2012. Comparable figures a month ago are shown in brackets.

Familysearch.org has 1,065 (1,033) record collections: census & lists 98 (88); birth, marriage, & death 690 (679); probate & court 75 (71); military 89 (83); migration & naturalization 45 (45); other 68 (67). It has Alexa rank 5,527 (5,965).

Family Tree DNA has 363,427 (357,675) records in its database. It ranks 43,483 (47,043) on Alexa.

Britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk claims 4,675,506 (3,627,347) pages digitized, which is over 36,000 per day and well over the 8,000 target. Alexa rank 81,345 (97,044)

Cyndislist.com claims  309,796 (309,487) total links in 188 categories, with 5,940 uncategorized.  Alexa rank  105,659 (73,389).

FreeBMD has 213,060,874 (211,673,964) distinct records, Alexa rank 94,416 (102,198).

UKBMD provides 2,199 (2,187) links to web sites that offer on-line transcriptions of UK births, marriages, deaths and censuses. Alexa rank 315,265 (352,585).

CanadianHeadstones.com has over 367,000 (356,000) gravestone photo records from across Canada. It scores  1,124,306 (1,518,881) in Alexa traffic rank.
