Chester and Boer War records new at findmypast.co.uk

The latest additions to findmypast.co.uk are:


Chester wills and probate, approximately 113,000 new records on findmypast.co.uk for the period 1492-1911. Published in partnership with Cheshire Archives and Local Studies, these are images of all surviving original wills of Cheshire residents proved at the Chester diocesan consistory court 1492-1857 and registered copies made at Chester Probate Registry 1858-1911.

An update to the Boer War collection with almost 10,000 new records bringing the total number of Boer War records on FMP to 269,425. Canadians who served in South Africa, including in Strathcona's Horse, may be found.

Also note that FMP added 12,000 new burial records for Handsworth Cemetery, Birmingham, last week.
