The Autosomal Me

This is a shoutout for a series of blog posts by Roberta Estes under the title The Autosomal Me, now consolidated into a single pdf.
It documents an approach she calls Minority Admixture Mapping (MAP) to identify some family lines that contributed in your DNA,.

The technique requires "intensive manual effort", it's "only for the very committed genetic genealogist – the warrior, so to speak." While few will likely want to take that on, perhaps preferring to wait until some organization automates at least some of that manual effort, I recommend those interested in 23andMe Ancestry or FTDNA Family Finder autosomal tests read over the document to see the potential in their data.
