Canadian Veterans Death Cards: First World War

Although placed online in mid-2012, Library and Archives Canada's online collection of First World War Veterans Death Cards is not widely known,
As described here, there are approximately 130,000 cards, nothing like comprehensive as the 640,000 who served in the CEF. Arranged alphabetically by surname in 99 sections there are approximately 1300 cards each. Those who died during the war are not included.
According to LAC each death card includes some or all of the following details:

Regimental service number
Rank
Unit, Battalion or Regiment
Date and place of death
Cause of death
Place of burial
Name and address of next-of-kin
