The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland has, finally, started making their collection catalogue available online. The eCatalogue currently contains approximately 60% of PRONI’s total catalogue entries, with the remainder to be published on an ongoing basis.
Of special interest is the ability to find emigrant letters and correspondence relating to claims to Irish property by emigrants. For example: Emigrant letter, Dr. William Campbell, Peterborough, "Upper Canada", to Rev. Robert Campbell, Templepatrick, in which he describes the hardships of the voyage and gives some account of Co. Antrim emigrants in Canada, 1832.
