Act soon. The price of English and Welsh birth, marriage and death certificates is going up.
As explained at
http://www.ips.gov.uk/cps/rde/xchg/ips_live/hs.xsl/1569.htm, on Tuesday 6 April the price of a certificate ordered online jumps from £7 ($11 Cdn) to £9.25 ($14.40 Cdn).
A reduced price if you provide the exact GRO reference will no longer apply.
Thanks to Christine Jackson for the alert.
I'm looking at my budget to see how many certificates I should order to save that bit.
ReplyDeleteStill, I would have thought that if 90% of English/Welsh BMD certificates are now ordered on-line, there would already have been considerable savings to the government.
It does seem we on-line buyers will all be paying more to benefit those who don't order on-line and/or don't (or can't) provide a reference #.
