Belfast City Council have placed online transcripts of burial register entries for three of the cemeteries for which they are responsible. There are a total of around 360,000 records from: Belfast City Cemetery where records start in 1869; Roselawn Cemetery with records starting in 1954 and; Dundonald Cemetery with records from 1905
Other burial places that fall ander the responsibility of the Council are not yet available online, These are: Balmoral Cemetery, Clifton Street Graveyard, Friar's Bush Graveyard, Knock Burial Ground, Shankill Graveyard. There is a useful FAQ, including information on how to access records of other local cemeteries, at http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/burialrecords/faqs.asp
