Wales has London's problem, 160 years later

According to the BBC, the Church in Wales believes two-thirds of its 1,000 burial grounds will be full in 10 years. That's the same problem, with the addition of unsanitary overcrowding, that led to the passage of the Metropolitan Burial Act in 1852.

The Act was another step in the long process of relieving the Established Church of the burden of providing local administration and services, along with the right to levy taxes (tithes). Interesting to see the process still going on.
