Peter Levick is back with LAC

Peter Levick is well known at Library and Archives Canada. He spent considerable time with overall responsibility for communications at LAC before leaving for, I think, the Museums Corporation.

It will be old news to those inside LAC, but according to the organization chart (pdf), and GEDS, he has returned with the position of (Senior) Director General, Strategic Partnerships.

Partnerships is an important way in which LAC should be doing business. Peer organizations, such as TNA and NARA, have made more extensive use of them than LAC.

Partnerships between government and non-government organizations depend on overcoming cultural barriers. That's true even between government departments and agencies.

Hopefully Peter, with his intimate knowledge of the organization's inside workings, will be able to break down barriers.
