England, Northumberland, Miscellaneous Records and FamilySearch additions in August

An amazing 63 record sets were added or updated on the FamilySearch site during August. That includes 13 that squeezed into the month total on the final day.

For England the most interesting of that last batch is 17,204 images titled:
England, Northumberland, Miscellaneous Records

FamilySearch describes these as "records from the Northumberland Archives Service. Record types include Parish Registers, Electoral Registers, Nonconformist Records, and Parish Chest. The records are from towns and parishes throughout Northumberland."

The records I found were for electoral registers from the early 20th century. Unfortunately attempts to view them resulted in a the image currently unavailable message.

Here's the list of Northumberland communities for when the images become available:

  1. I checked on the FamilySearch website for more info about this collection and it says "The England, Northumberland, Miscellaneous Records is a limited publication collection. FamilySearch has rights to publish images online to the following groups for this collection: Family History Library and FamilySearch Centers, LDS members, contributing organizations, and volunteers."

I do wish they would make that clear on the collections list. I tried logging in and couldn't view any images so I guess it's not available to general indexers - don't know what they mean by volunteers...
