The Quebec, Genealogical Dictionary of Canadian Families (Tanguay Collection), 1608-1890 recently made available on Ancestry.ca is already accessible and free on the Quebec Library and Archives (BAnQ) web portal . The link is:

BAnQ comments that despite its problems and the availability of more recent compilations which supplement and correct it, Tanguay remains a major resource for Quebec genealogical research.
