Engraved on a Nation is a short TV series produced for the 100th anniversary of the Grey Cup. The stories are also about family, legacy, and the cost of war.
The episode The Crash premieres at 8pm Friday 2 November on TSN. It is the story of a football player killed in a 1956 plane crash and the search by his grandson -- who also plays in the Canadian Football League -- to figure out who his grandfather was and heal a family wound created before his grandfather died.
It will be repeated on Saturday at 7pm on CTV 2, on Sunday at 5pm on CTV. It will also be on on the TSN website at www.tsn.ca/greycup/ where you already view the first episode in the series.
Look for another episode in the series on November 9 at 7:30 pm.
Dugald Maudsley, who was behind the Ancestors in the Attic series, is also involved in this production.
