Shannon Lecture: Canada’s Great Butter Caper

Friday's lecture in the 2013 Shannon series is by Charlene Elliott from the Department of Communication and Culture at the University of Calgary. Dr. Elliott holds a CIHR Canada Research Chair in Food Marketing, Policy and Children's Health and has a joint appointment with the Faculty of Kinesiology. She is Co-Director of the Nutrition Principles and Policies Program, out of the Alberta Children's Hospital and a former public sector representative for the Canadian Council of Food and Nutrition.
This is the second in a five part series on Grub and Grog, history and food. The title is “Canada’s Great Butter Caper: On law, fakes, and the biography of margarine”
