About 140 people packed Woodroffe United Church, Banquet Hall on Sunday afternoon to hear UK genealogist Kirsty Gray deliver two lectures:
Solving Problems Through Family Reconstruction.
Searching for Names: Challenges, Pitfalls and the Downright Ridiculous
Despite good weather it took two Air Canada flights to get Kirsty from Toronto owing to mechanical failure.
The talks, full of advice, research tips and good humour were much appreciated. The break between the presentations was an opportunity to catch up with each other and community news. We could do with more of this type of event in Ottawa.
Thanks for the invite! A great day - shame about the photograph though, John!
