Findmypast has quickly added to the release of indexes to Irish Catholic baptisms last Tuesday.
The Ireland Roman Catholic Parish Marriages collection includes 3,024,673 entries from 1671-1900 with records from over 1,000 Catholic parishes covering 97% of Ireland. Each entry is linked to an image from the National Library of Ireland's microfilm collection.
The Ireland Roman Catholic Parish Burials collection has 243,699 entries from 1732 to 1955. The geographical coverage is: Antrim - 2,238; Armagh - 14,012; Carlow - 867; Cavan - 11,841; Clare - 374; Cork - 134; Donegal - 1,844; Down - 23,354; Dublin - 628; Fermanagh - 333; Galway - 13,938; Kerry - 88; Kildare - 1,093; Kilkenny - 3,239; Laois - 5,097; Leitrim - 10,582; Limerick - 305; Londonderry (Derry) - 5,637; Longford - 26,675; Louth - 8,095; Mayo - 921; Meath - 28,935; Monaghan - 28,935; Offaly - 12,237; Roscommon - 13,057; Sligo - 6,045; Tipperary - 2,052; Tyrone - 10,057; Waterford - 1,889; Westmeath - 34,734; Wexford - 38,353; Wicklow - 1,244. Each entry is linked to an image from the National Library of Ireland's microfilm collection.
Ireland Roman Catholic Parish Congregational Records comprises 54,753 entries from 1684 to 1916. They feature lists of parishioners, lists of those who have donated to the church and confirmation records. In some parishes, the local priest created small censuses of the local residences across all religions. Each entry is linked to an image from the National Library of Ireland's microfilm collection.
