According to an email from the Archives of Ontario,
The exhibit tells the story of the family of George Brown—founder of the influential newspaper, The Globe, and one of the Fathers of Confederation—through their records held at the Archives of Ontario.
Using family photographs and letters, the exhibit explores the Browns’ experiences as immigrants to Ontario, and reveals the social life of an upper middle class family during the Victorian era.
It also reveals how George Brown balanced his private and public lives at this pivotal time in Ontario’s history.
