FamilySearch now list 4,140,534 records in their collection online for Cheshire Parish Registers, 1538-2000. The source given is 769 microfilm reels from the FHL.
The records appear to cover baptisms, marriages and burials. There is no list of parishes but it may well include some in Lancashire as well as Cheshire.
Beware of transcription issues, there are no original images. I found my grandparents marriage transcribed with the bride's father as Harry rather than Henry, and the groom's father as Francis rather than Maurice.
