Free Access to Ancestry

Starting this Friday, ancestry.co.uk is opening up their site for you to explore with free access to more than 1 billion UK records. It’s three days only, ending 8 February, 2015 at 23:59 GMT.
Usually with their free periods access requires free registration.

    This is a brilliant idea but what about us Brits who would like to access American records for free too?

    I went to the Ancestry.co.uk site Friday, saw no evidence of any special free access, just the usual 14 day trial on offer. Am I missing something? - Donal
