PEI Death Cards on FamilySearch

Prince Edward Island Death Card Index, 1721-1905 is the most recent addition to the FamilySearch collection for Canada's smallest province.

This is a browse collection compiled by the Division of Vital Statistics. Public Archives, Charlottetown from church records, newspapers and other sources pre-dating PEI civil registration of deaths. There are 15,903 images, one burial per card, organized in 17 alphabetical surname groups.

Records usually contain: name, age, date and place of burial, source. Additional information is sometimes given.

A similar card index for PEI baptisms was added to FamilySearch in October 2012.
