Over the weekend one of the most prolific genealogy writers/bloggers on the other side of the pond, Chris Paton, announced he was returning to his blog roots.
Chris is an Irish genealogist who made his home in Scotland. He's been a popular speaker at BIFHSGO, on cruises and elsewhere — we both spoke at an event in Portugal. He's also a prolific author, his most recent books being Tracing Your Scottish Ancestry through Church and State Records and Tracing Your Irish Family History on the Internet.
Chris tells me Scottish GENES, and at its new dedicated address, https://scottishgenes.blogspot.com will continue to cover news beyond Scotland and Ireland although I'm expecting that, with his close contacts there will be an emphasis reflecting the blog title.
Subscribe by email to Scottish GENES using the link at the top right of the page at https://scottishgenes.blogspot.com/.
