Seeing London (1929)

Worth a million words, a London Metropolitan Archives silent short film series 'Seeing London' (1929) shows the city from a bygone age

In the people at work video I was astonished how peaceably the police moved people and goods around the roads. It was very like my attending probably my only visit ever to the Royal Chelsea Flower Show in 2010 when spending five weeks in central London. The police were marvelous and I stopped several officers and told them so. It was a real delight to watch officers moving thousands of people across busy intersections with minimal fuss and muss. Real pros. Cheers, BT
