FindMyPast has announced a 'major update' to its viewer for original documents.
As described in a post by Family Tree (UK), the new features and tools include:
- Brightness and contrast controls
- Previews of previous and subsequent pages
- Page numbers
- Easier access to transcripts
- View transcript on the page within the 1939 Register

I like it, except for the fact we can't minimize the film strip, as we can on Ancestry. On a laptop screen it takes up too much space. I do use the film strip, so want to to stay, just want control over viewing it. I gather many FMP users have given FMP that feedback - let's hope they tweak it in response.
I agree. That was my immediate thought too.
