Here's a view of the devastation in Ypres, and remains of its Cloth Hall after WW1. Pilot Jacques Trolley de Prévaux took the shot from a camera strapped to a French airship in summer 1919 while following the Western Front.
It's part of a short video on the BBC website to be broadcast on Nov7 and available, I'm not sure how legally, at: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=297_1288902355

I've just finished watching the programme on the BBC. Incredibly moving. I have relatives who died on the Somme and my grandfather was at Passchendaele.
