This latest issue of BIFHSGO's quarterly Chronicle, Anglo Celtic Roots, is out. The major family history research articles in the issue are:
Mamie Wear, a Scot, by Carolyn Emblem recounts the story of her grandmother and delves into some DNA findings.
Life in Saskatoon, 1912, by Andrew Frowd is the second installment of letters describing the life sent from a young married woman, and English immigrant, in Saskatoon.
Tracking Great Uncle Stan, by Brooke Broadbent is a well-written tale providing cautions about interpreting letters from World War I soldiers and how others serving at the same time and place can be helpful.
The BIFHSGO trip to Québec City and Grosse Ile by Irene Kellow Ip is an interesting trip report on this summer's outing by 17 society members and friends.
In addition there are the usual columns from President Glenn Wright, myself, and society librarian Betty Warburton; poetry from Ottawa poet Allan Matthews; plus various news items.
