Unlike Library and Archives Canada the National Archives of Australia continues to host exhibits. From 24 November 2012 to 10 February 2013 there's one
"On Their Own – Britain’s child migrants" telling the story of the:
"more than 100,000 children sent from Britain to Canada, Australia and other Commonwealth countries through child migration schemes from the 1860s onwards. In fact more than 100,000 children came to Canada alone.
The lives of these children changed dramatically and fortunes varied.
Some succeeded in creating new futures. Others suffered lonely, brutal childhoods. All experienced disruption and separation from family and homeland."
Child immigration continued to Australia well after it came to an end in Canada.
Thanks to Maggie Loughran for bringing this to my attention.
