A world war merits a global perspective. To that end the (UK) Imperial War Museum is spearheading The First World War Centenary Partnership, a network of local, regional, national and international cultural and educational organisations joining together to present "a vibrant global Programme of cultural events and activities, and digital platforms which will enable millions of people across the world to discover more about life in the First World War."
Check out 1914.org for highlights of centenary events and resources from across the globe, although very largely from the UK. At present there is no Canadian participation and only one Australian partner. Maybe they'd be inspired by reviewing what others are doing, or could inspire others by promoting their activities.
