This collection of 56,578 records comprises attestation and discharge documents from the War Office of men who enrolled in the Imperial Yeomanry during the South African (Boer) War. The Imperial Yeomanry was a mounted volunteer force of the British army.
The documents, sourced from WO 128 at The National Archives, Kew, contain details of each man's place of birth, age and occupation and a full record of his service.
