Forces War Records adds British Prisoners of War held in Japan or Japanese Occupied Territory

In 1945, 37,583 British and Commonwealth soldiers were released from Japanese captivity. Records held in TNA record group WO392/23-26 have now been transcribed and are available at Forces War Records in a collection titled Imperial Prisoners of War held in Japan
Information is: Name, Rank, Service Number, Branch of Service, Final Camp Location, Date of Capture, Date of Liberation.
