Every year Ontario sets aside a day to recognize the contributions of British Home Children. This year an event, organized by the Leeds and Grenville Genealogical Society and the Ontario East British Home Child Family, will be held on Saturday, September 26th at the Brockville Museum.
The Museum will open at 9 a.m. to start a day of talks, “open mic” discussion groups, a “marketplace of ideas”, as well as a variety of experts on hand for you talk to, compare notes or discuss research strategies. You will also be able to speak with interpreters at other locations around Brockville.
All are welcome, whether newly-curious about the Home Child story or already a dedicated researcher. Admission to this all-day event will be by donation and pre-registration is not required.
