Transport for London has a hidden map, not as iconic as that of the Underground but with its own attraction.
Released following a freedom of information request to TfL it includes underground, overground and main line train routes, roads, parks and neighbourhoods. The route of Crossrail is there too, and more. The real-life wiggles of the network, somewhat smoothed, are included. Distances between links can be compared to each other, across the map.
The snippet is the area surrounding the Society of Genealogists.
Warning - allow yourself time to explore, zooming in draws you in! Find it here.
