Remember Canadian War Dead: 1 November

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial records the deaths of 105 members of the Canadian Forces on 1 November. Their names can be found here, from the Canadian Virtual War Memorial.

100 died in 1917;
88 died in Belgium during the final stages of the Third Battle of Ypres (Second Battle of Passchendaele);
58 were serving with the Infantry;
24 with no known grave are commemorated at the Menin Gate at Ypres;
13 were serving with the 102nd Battalion, the most of any unit.
