Remember Canadian War Dead: 5 November

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial records the deaths of 300 members of the Canadian Forces on 5 November. Their names can be found here.

93 died in 1917;
79 died in Belgium during the final stages of the Third Battle of Ypres (Second Battle of Passchendaele);
71 were serving with the Infantry;
28 with no known grave are commemorated at the Menin Gate at Ypres;
10 were serving with the 4th Battalion, the most of any unit.
