Remember Canadian War Dead: 2 November

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial records the deaths of 310 members of the Canadian Forces on 2 November. Their names can be found here.

56 died in 1917;
46 died in Belgium during the final stages of the Third Battle of Ypres (Second Battle of Passchendaele);
32 were serving with the Infantry;
17 with no known grave are commemorated at the Menin Gate at Ypres;
11 were serving with the 42nd Battalion, the most of any unit.
