We saw a snowstorm here in Ottawa, as if marking the centennial of a major snowstorm. These clippings are from the Ottawa Citizen and Toronto Globe of 3 February 1911. There was a lot less coverage of weather events a century ago than today.
I'm struck by the calm and matter-of-fact tone of these articles. What a contrast to the hyped-up coverage on today's weather channels.
