Ancestry updates London, England, Workhouse Admission and Discharge Records, 1659-1930

This Ancestry database now has more than 3 million records including recent south London additions for Greenwich (565,643 records), Lambeth (306,830), Lewisham (184,818) and Southwark (565,643) in this London Poor Law database.

If a person is in these records once you're likely to find multiple entries, especially for the elderly as they enter, are discharged to an infirmary for medical care and subsequently return to the workhouse, and the death is recorded.
The records comprise a partial transcript and images of the original, often with additional information, sourced from the London Metropolitan Archives.
