For a couple of days Thomas MacEntee is giving away his Kindle Guide to Wolfram|Alpha for Genealogy and Family History Research.
As Thomas points out, Wolfram|Alpha is not a source for genealogical research so much as a starting point to gather information. Use the book to learn about its use to calculate information related to:
- Family Relationships
- Names
- Words and Text
- Dates
- Historical Weather
- Historical Money
The Wolfram|Alpha database is strong on US information, Canadian and British data is more limited.
Get the book free for two days from http://www.geneabloggers.com/free-ebook-guide-wolframalpha-genealogy-family-history-research/ or search for the title in the bookstore on your Kindle device.
You might want to check out the material at the end of the book which profiles some of Thomas' other publications and will give you an idea of what you may expect to hear when he speaks at the OGS conference at the end of May, and maybe even later in the year in Ottawa.
