Researching Irish Ancestry
10:30 am
Briarwood Presbyterian Church Hall, 70 Beaconsfield Blvd, Beaconsfield
Speaker: Lesley Anderson of Ancestry
Researching your Irish ancestry is always a challenge! In this presentation Lesley Anderson will review some of the great Irish collections available on Ancestry in Canada and Ireland/UK and also speak about the “offline” documents at the various archives and local repositories.
Refreshments will be served after the lecture.
If you're considering going to Ireland to do your family history research and walk on the land of your ancestors Lesley is hosting a 15 day "Grand tour of Ireland” in April in 2016. It includes three days of research at the National Archives in Dublin and the Public Record Office in Belfast, plus a fully guided tour of many historical and interesting sites.
