OGS Conference in Ottawa is popular

Information from the organisers is that registration for the Ontario Genealogical Conference, 16-18 June 2017/at Algonquin College in Ottawa is running above expectation. Some of the pre-conference events are sold out including the LAC tour -- there is a waiting list. The Marketplace is almost full.

Early bird registration deadline is 31 March but don't delay. If you leave it too late you may not get in on the action. Projections are that the banquet with speaker D. Joshua Taylor will sell out. Avoid disappointment.  I have my reservation for that and the BIFHSGO-organised British Pub Night.

The college residence is presently sold out for Thursday 15 June. Accommodation is at a premium in Ottawa this year owing to the sesquicentennial celebrations so I strongly advise booking now or contacting that relative or friend who lives locally to secure their hospitality.

Finally, new this year is Using Ancestry Day on the Monday following the conference. Crista Cowan (did you catch her RootsTech session) and Anna (DNA) Swayne from Ancestry in the US will be in Ottawa to conduct the all day event.
