BIFHSGO Awards 2016


Saturday's British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa Annual General Meeting saw two new inductees into the Society Hall of Fame by President |Barbara Tose.

Lesley Anderson was recognized for her contributions to the society, and beyond, in genealogy education and facilitating a wide range of Canadian records becoming available online.



Brian Glenn was recognized for contributions to BIFHSGO as a Board member active in research and projects, in making presentations and in developing the society online facilities.






Christine Jackson received the award for best article in Anglo-Celtic Roots for My Ancestors Were All Ag Labs - Or Were They? as selected by an elite panel from the publication.








John D Reid received recognition for the monthly meeting presentation Did DNA Prove the Skeleton Under the Leicester Car park was Richard III? as voted by the membership at large.
