In advance of the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion, on 6 December, Ancestry.ca has added Halifax, Canada, Halifax Explosion Remembrance Book, 1917-1918 to the collection. Its 1,948 records are sourced from the database at the Nova Scotia Archives.
Although the disaster was local the impact was widely felt. Here's a map of locations outside Nova Scotia mentioned.

Link does not work.
Coincidentally, I have been trying to get my stepdaughter to locate tapes her father made in the 1960s when he was a young RCN Lt, and posted to Halifax. He interviewed and taped the interviews on reel to reel rolls in a seniors home of survivors of the explosion who had been children when it happened. I first asked for them 3 years ago, and again this past summer, so I wouldn't hold my breath. The NS Archive definitely want copies if I can get my hands on them ...... Cheers anyway, BT
