You wouldn't go the (US) National Genealogical Society conference next May specifically to hear a lecture on Canadian genealogy. Kathryn Lake Hogan will be presenting but Canadians can likely find a venue to hear her closer to home.
Similarly for British genealogy -- there was already the opportunity to hear Paul Milner at the BIFHSGO conference earlier this year.
BUT, the NGS conference is so rich in good speakers and presentations, including topics in every time-slot that are not specifically US and a whole stream on DNA, that you may want to consider the journey to Grand Rapids, MI in early May. You might even want to take in a presentation or two by Kathryn or Paul.
