Folks in Toronto are fortunate to enjoy the annual Toronto History Lecture, this year to be held on October 24 at 7:30 pm at the City of Toronto Archives.
For this the bicentennial year of the War of 1812 well known Ontario genealogist and historian Janice Nickerson will tell a few stories of the men, women and children whose lives were transformed by this pivotal event in the history of Toronto. It's based on her book York's Sacrifice: Militia Casualties of the War of 1812.
