The Canadian Virtual War Memorial records the deaths of 948 members of the Canadian Forces on 6 November.
713 died in 1917; their names are here;
708 died in Belgium during the final stages of the Third Battle of Ypres (Second Battle of Passchendaele);
647 were serving with the Infantry;
491 with no known grave are commemorated at the Menin Gate at Ypres;
81 were serving with the 31st Battalion, the most of any unit.
