The Canadian Virtual War Memorial records the deaths of 334 members of the Canadian Forces on 8 November.
109 died in 1917; their names are here;
99 died in Belgium during the final stages of the Third Battle of Ypres (Second Battle of Passchendaele);
88 were serving with the Infantry;
31 with no known grave are commemorated at the Menin Gate at Ypres;
17 were serving with the 16th Battalion, the most of any unit.
