Glenn Wright will examine the history, the personalities, the controversy and finally, the compromise, that gave us our national flag. Middle-aged Canadians, young Canadians and new Canadians know no other flag; it is important that we all understand why it was important to have this flag and to appreciate its origins and impact on Canadians since its adoption in 1964-1965.
