After watching the first couple of sessions, I had no interest in watching the later shows. Not sure if I have "outgrown" them or the quality this year has dropped. But the entertainment value has gone for me.
This was an interesting show, but overall, they need more variety of histories. We have now had several on slavery -- which I do not deny is important. Is there an American celebrity that has First Nations heritage? Or perhaps Jewish? Or even somebody who has done something well out of the ordinary -- like a gunslinger in the wild west? I don't know, just anything unusual. The British managed to get a good variety. I don't know why the Americans can't.
