An article in The Scotsman briefly mentions plans for Brightsolid, parent company of Findmypast.co.uk to "take the company's successful formula developed in the UK and roll it out overseas."
Company CEO Chris van der Kuyl is quoted as saying "We want to focus on English language markets that have historic links to the UK before venturing into other parts of the world."
Although the article mentions the US market it would be anomalous if the company didn't look at Canada also, where although there is a smaller market there is perhaps more of an opportunity for a new player than in the US.
