Celebrating 12 Years Blogging

There are now over 9,000 posts on this blog since it started on this date in 2006. They're fully searchable. That's often how I find information I don't quite remember!
Thanks for your continued support, especially to those who pass along tips on family history events and items of interest.

I read your newsletter in lieu of the paper now while drinking my coffee. A bargain of genealogical information and history! Cheaper as well!

Congratulations, John! Nine years of daily blogging is a real accomplishment. So many of my file folders have a sub-folder called 'tips from John Reid's blog' - your efforts are truly appreciated!

Let me join the others in sending congratulations. I find the information found on your blog vastly more interesting than most genealogy, or meteorology (LOL)blogs I use. Bless you. Keep on working on all things historical.
