Monday's Ottawa Citizen includes an article about a statuette of hero of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, Gen. James Wolfe, left at the Lord Elgin hotel with a note that it was stolen in the 1950s from the Public Archives of Canada building on Sussex Street. Read the story here.
In the same issue of the Citizen, the regular Monday column by Phil Jenkins this week recalls Ottawa eccentric Ezekiel Stone Wiggins. Phil will be the Don Whiteside lecturer in September at the BIFHGO conference.

Mr. Wiggins also wrote "The History of Queens County" [NB] in the 1870s which focused on Loyalist families.
